Kindergarten Lead Teacher—The Walker School
Marietta, GA | Full-Time | 10-Month Position

The Role:
As a kindergarten lead teacher, you will be at the forefront of early childhood education, creating a safe, happy, and engaging learning environment for young students. Working alongside a teaching assistant and a team of dedicated educators, you will be responsible for planning, instructing, and assessing all students in your class while fostering strong relationships with families and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement creative, hands-on learning experiences that encourage exploration and critical thinking.
Foster social-emotional growth while supporting differentiated instruction for students.
Collaborate with grade-level teams and specialists to create a comprehensive learning environment.
Utilize assessments and documentation to track student progress and tailor instruction.
Communicate effectively and positively with parents, colleagues, and administrators through conferences, reports, and meetings.
Maintain an engaging, organized, and welcoming learning space for young learners.
Integrate technology to enhance teaching and student engagement.
Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Handwriting Without Tears, Singapore Math, or other multisensory teaching methods.
Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children (e.g., kneeling, sitting on the floor, lifting materials up to 20 lbs).
