If so, we invite you to explore an exciting opportunity to join The Walker School as a Classroom Teacher in the New Avenues Dyslexia Program!
About the Role
The New Avenues Dyslexia Program is a specialized "school-within-a-school" dedicated to supporting students with dyslexia who have above-average academic aptitude. As a Classroom Teacher, you will create a multisensory, student-centered learning environment, working with small groups of elementary students in a self-contained classroom (approximately 8–10 students). You will collaborate with fellow educators, Speech and Language Pathologists, and families to ensure that each student receives a tailored, research-based educational experience.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement individualized instructional plans based on psycho-educational testing.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education, learning disabilities, reading, or speech and language pathology.
